Flocking Good Time Socks
The Flocking Good Time Socks were inspired by Flock Fiber Festival, an annual gathering held in Seattle to celebrate all things fiber-related. I attended last year's inaugural event and enjoyed it so much that I designed a motif to express my own love for all things Flock!
This digital pattern includes instructions and charts for both toe-up and cuff-down. You can also choose between two heel options, the Shadow Wrap or Afterthought Heel, based on your preference.
This sock pattern comes in 4 sizes, and a custom chart for each size to achieve the same look and fit throughout the size range.

Choosing the Right Yarn Colors
Yarn color palettes to help make color choices — what season it might be worn, complimenting a skin tone/eye color, the age of the recipient, or simply based on the pattern and type of stitches used.

Anker’s Summer Shirt Review
The clouds part and the sun shines in, birds are chirping; it’s going to be a good day. Why, you might ask? Well this is one of those magical moments where the stars aligned and I found a perfect pattern with the perfect fit and the perfect yarn. Finished in time to wear it during the correct time of year, no less! That almost never happens; I think I might need to go play the lottery today to capitalize on this lucky streak.
Using stash yarn for baby hats
I live for a sale. I see those 4 bold letters on a sign and suddenly my mind is a rolodex flipping through project ideas for said sale product. And when it’s a yarn sale, you can bet I’m going to buy some, because I need it. I’ll use it. I’ll definitely use it…?
Budget-friendly bathroom makeover: Part 2
Time to say goodbye to that builder-grade bathroom floor! I really wanted to change out the floors but couldn’t justify the cost of ripping everything out and re-tiling. I’d seen expert DIYers all over instagram showing off their beautiful hand-stenciled floors, and it got me thinking. I just needed to make sure it actually made sense for this space and wouldn’t end up on some random post about Pinterest fails for years to come.
Budget-friendly bathroom makeover: Part 1
The guest bathroom — you see it, use it, then forget about it. It’s somehow both the most-used room in your house and yet the lowest on the remodel priority list. Part 1 of this journey highlights the process of repurposing the existing vanity & wall mirror, as well as repainting the bathroom walls and adding in new accessories to freshen up the space.
Sewing masks with leftover fabric
What better reason to dust off the sewing machine than to make something we all need right now — face masks. Admittedly, I have more patience for almost any other craft besides sewing, but I’m determined to like it and get better at it. That seems healthy, right?
