The Tally Alley Socks have arrived
The Tally Alley Socks use a series of parallel lines in opposite directions to create a basket-weave effect. This is a fun motif to play around with contrast and color pairings, and it's a great way to use up some of that sock stash!
This cuff-down sock pattern has two heel options, the Afterthought or Shadow Wrap Heel, based on your preference. Each size has its own chart to accommodate the proper stitch count: the charts are similar between the S and L sizes, as they are between the M and XL sizes, but there are slight differences between the S/L vs. the M/XL (see bottom right example image).

Budget-friendly bathroom makeover: Part 2
Time to say goodbye to that builder-grade bathroom floor! I really wanted to change out the floors but couldn’t justify the cost of ripping everything out and re-tiling. I’d seen expert DIYers all over instagram showing off their beautiful hand-stenciled floors, and it got me thinking. I just needed to make sure it actually made sense for this space and wouldn’t end up on some random post about Pinterest fails for years to come.

Budget-friendly bathroom makeover: Part 1
The guest bathroom — you see it, use it, then forget about it. It’s somehow both the most-used room in your house and yet the lowest on the remodel priority list. Part 1 of this journey highlights the process of repurposing the existing vanity & wall mirror, as well as repainting the bathroom walls and adding in new accessories to freshen up the space.

Sewing masks with leftover fabric
What better reason to dust off the sewing machine than to make something we all need right now — face masks. Admittedly, I have more patience for almost any other craft besides sewing, but I’m determined to like it and get better at it. That seems healthy, right?
